UI TabControl (page control) Sterotype
« on: December 17, 2001, 08:33:32 am »
Hello,

I need to design a screen, which is made of few pages controlled by TabControl. How can I design it? I didn't find such a control in the Sterotype list.

Hi,

Currently EA doesn't include support for a Tab control, there is nothing stopping you from typing in "tabcontrol" into the combobox.  However the object drawn will only be a standard rectangle.  Because a 2 dimensional diagram can only display one tab at a time, in the past I have drawn a number of panels next to each other and added comments to describe the actually way the screen is intended to work.

I way make a note to add support for the stereotype of Tab, however this will not overcome the problem of displaying multiple tabs in a diagram.

Thanks for the feedback.

To illustrate Tab control you need 2 views. One is the screen shot with one tab active and the rest are title only (as the screen looks in real life) and the others are the other screens when changing tab. So if your Tab control contain 5 tabs, you need 5 screens to display it.
