java code generation
« on: January 13, 2002, 05:37:32 am »
hi,

i'm currently testing EA 3.1.0 build 440 and try to generate java code. if got the following questions/problems:

1. extending an interface result in "implements" instead of "extends" on the child interface?
2. why is there no package name within the generated code, how can i solve the problem?
3. there are also no import statements generated.

thank you for your help

Hi bruno,

We have a build coming out in the next day or so which should correct most of the items you mention.

One thing - you will need to set the Namespace Root for your Java classes to get correct package statements generated ... this option is available by right clicking on the Package in the browser tree and selecting the option 'Set as Namespace Root'

CHeck out the Forum for latest updates and release news for Build 443.

thank you for your quick response. first of all: up to now i'm very pleased with the product as well as with your support.

the bad news: i've tried the "set as namespace root" and it still doesn't work. is there anything else?

Hi Bruno ...

Have you downloaded the latest build (443) ... I just retried this and it seems to be OK? You do need the latest build though.
