How to undo "offline checkout"?
« on: August 01, 2008, 03:54:52 pm »
I have offline checkout a package.
I try to undo the checkout but it doesn't allow me to do so.

How can I do it?

I'm not sure what exactly you want to do, so I'll take your question at face value.

If you check out a package in offline mode, you have to return to 'online' mode to undo the checkout or to check in the package. To return to 'online' mode, reselect the Project | Version Control | Work Offline menu option. It is a toggle option. That is not crystal clear in the Help, so I have edited the Offline Version Control topic to make it obvious.

When I click the undo checkout, it pops out the following error:

no pending change where found in "C:\<package xml>"

Because of that, I can do nothing and the symbol of the package in the project browser keeps showing an "offline checkout" status.

I don't know what to do.

At this point, you should send in a bug report to Sparx Support. I can't tell where the error arises. Sorry!

Remember to include everything you can about your VC configuration. This means exact version numbers and revision, both of the local client and server software as applicable. Also network transport and server operating environment.

If you use the Registered Users bug report - you'll find the link above the 'usual' bug report form, or near the top of the Registered Users page - you will be able to attach sample files; this might help Sparx with diagnosis. Remember to compress large files.
