Wire Framing Webpage - Name
« on: May 08, 2015, 08:22:04 am »
Started using the Wire Framing> Webpage toolbox and found I can't seem to display name of element on a diagram so unable to distinguish the webpages. Was hoping to do a navigation map with detailed webpage layout under each element.

Question: Is there any way to show the element name on a diagram using these webpages (stereotype WireframeWebsite) so I can distinguish the different webpages from each other?

I guess the answer is no then.
Found a work around by repeating the name in the tab field displayed. Not ideal.

I am not sure if I interpreted your question correctly - but if you are wanting to emulate a number of web pages being called by buttons, you can simply set a button Element as Composite and have it reference another wireframe diagram.  That way clicking on the button will open the next wireframe. If it is navigation map the same referencing can apply.

Dermot, the problem I was having was that when there were a number of web pages on a diagram using the stereotype wireframewebsite I couldn't distinguish them apart as the name of the element isn't shown on the diagram. i.e. they all look the same with out a name  :(

Another workaround is to use the Wireframe entry in the Property List

Click on Wireframe and you see a list of tabs

Click on Tab 1 and change the address entry to the name of your Webpage

Again not ideal but just another workaround

The name of the element Client Area also does not display on the diagram

Cheers
