Problem with Local Path
« on: August 08, 2017, 05:50:33 am »
Hi,
I have a serious problem with the configuration of the EA User Security.
We are using EA 13.5 based on a MySQL-Server Repository. We have activated User Security and created some users and groups.
Everything works fine so far. When a logged in user now calls "Code --> Configure --> Manage Local Path" and sets his local path.
e. g. The path for the java sources is d:\sources\   . This path is visible for all other users. I don't think that this is the right behavior.
Am I doing something wrong??
Any idea??

Regards
Edmund

You should have a second look. The path config is stored locally in %appdata%/..sparx../paths.txt

Edmund,

AFAIK, local paths have nothing to do with user security.  As qwerty said, they are stored local to each machine, but before they can be utilised, you have to "apply" them (as per the dialog).

If you have applied them and you can still see the original path, then there's something wrong and you should post a copy of the paths.txt file.

HTH,

Thank you, perfect

It is exactly what I was looking for.
I didn't know that the path is stored localy, I thougt it is stored in the database.

Thank you
