Auto Name Counters shared by 2 Types
« on: May 18, 2018, 04:07:26 pm »
Is it possible to set up 1 Auto Name Counters (i.e. Alias) that will be shared/ count up for 2 Types (i.e. "Requirements" and "Features").

Not in the 'out of box' solution. Can be custom-implemented though.
However one of the limitation (not possible to support different counters for different stereotypes) could be used to your advantage if you are using two different stereotypes of same type. (e.g. different type of requirements)

Hi,

As a workaround you can define all your elements first, then place them on a diagram (in the order from top to bottom or left to right), and use eaUtils Generate Alias feature.
More info available from http://www.eautils.com/en/help/itemlist/category/17-generate-alias-values-help-section

Hope it helps.
