UML Testing Profile
« on: August 28, 2006, 03:32:07 am »
Hello everyone,
I would like to use the UML Testing Profile in enterprise architecture and thus need to import the schema for it. Where can I find it and download it. Thank you!

Look on this page, the entry is: Testing Technology.xml

http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/resources/

The load a Project, then Tools, Import technology, browse to the XML file...

NOT really sure HOW to make use of this though....
======================================
The OTHER thing is using the Testing profile:

Right Click "Model" in your Project View window, then "Add Model from Pattern"...

Hope that gets you going!

And on that note I have to apologize Lilith.

I completely overlooked that technology file. In my defence, Sparx does not list the MDG technologies (at least not all of them) with the other downloads on their Resources page. I have managed to miss MDG downloads before, since they do not show up on the site map either.

Still, I should have known when I replied to your earlier query, since I have somehow managed to find the BPMN add-in (which shares the same location issues) when I needed it.

No, you can't have it!

Don't mind David. I knew this did exist and I explicitely looked for it - but did not find it. So I did not post anything ;)

Hi, I downloaded the xml file, went to resources, right click and import UML pattern, select the xml file on my file sistem, click open, but nothing happens.
The pattern is not imported! :'(
Where is the problem  ???
Thanks

It's not a pattern.

You need to import it as described at http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/EAUserGuide/importmdgtechnologies.htm
