BUG: Autohide docked windows
« on: December 11, 2007, 05:20:18 am »
If "autohide all docked windows" is used it indeed hides the docked windows. The menu item should then become "reveal all docked windows" to perform the inverse operation. If the user in the meantime has opened a docked window then we should have "autohide all docked windows" as the menu item.

Or simply have 2 such menu items without the underlying clever logic.

Yes, the first way!

I've submitted some similar reports for other menu items that don't behave correctly. Depending on the state of EA at any given moment, the menus can be just plain wrong, or completely misleading.

[Some of them remain fairly unhelpful to newer users - they don't help you to figure out what to do unless you already know - but let's take this in steps. First make them work correctly; then make them work better.]
