Linked documents of realized requirements in RTF
« on: January 09, 2008, 02:13:40 pm »
Hello everybody,

in our UML based system model we're often using a realization link from an element to an external requirement. Including these external requirements in an RTF report works fine as long as the detailed requirement information is added in the "Notes" field of the requirement. But for some requirements we use the linked document option for the details and would now like to have the linked document of a realized external requirement in the RTF report.

Standard RTF template options only allow for a "model document" within the Element section, but unfortunately not within the "Element::External Requirement" section. Is there a work-around for this?

Thanks and joyous greetings

Dirk

I don't think so Dirk.

That said, I've not tried this at all since 7.0 came out. So wait a bit and see if someone sets me straight. If someone cannot tell you soon, the feature is likely missing.

If so, submit this as a bug report - or a feature request; I would see it as missing from the Requirement element, thus a bug - to Sparx. Use the Report a Bug link - or the Feature Request link if you prefer - below the Support link at the bottom of any forum page.

A best practice we use is to quote the title and URL of the associated forum thread - this thread in this case - so that Sparx can participate in the discussion.

Please let us know what you hear back from Sparx, if anything.

David
No, you can't have it!

Hi David,

thanks a lot for your response. As of now, I guess you're right. Let's wait for a response from Sparx regarding my bug report.

Joyous greetings

Dirk
