Title: Event in state machine
Post by: qwerty on November 06, 2016, 04:42:33 am
Out of curiosity: in state machines the toolbox shows an entry called Event which resembles a Receive and Send Event (used in ADs). Now, when creating it in a SM it will just create a Send-shaped Event. They all are of metatype Event. In ADs you can create both. In the browser they appear as this twin-icon like in the SM toolbox. Now my questions:

- I was pretty sure having seen a way to convert send to receive and vice versa, but can't find anything in that direction. Possible?
- Are Receive events valid in SMs?

q.

P.S. I found an example of receive being used in a SM in the UML specs.

Converting you can do in contect Menu Advanced Make Sender/Make Receiver.
The question if this, having in a diagram is UML I had as well, but did not jet check against UML Spec.
