Title: Schema composer and Appinfo
Post by: UrsulaGreen on December 07, 2017, 10:06:29 pm
I'm currently evaluating the use of the schema composer to generate XML schemas.  All the schemas to be maintained and developed make use of appinfo.
The current schema composer doesn't seem to support this or have I missed something.  If it does not support it, does anyone have a "work around"?

You should either try the NIEM schema, or stick with the regular XML schema generation
see: http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/model_domains/model_xsd.html (http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.5/model_domains/model_xsd.html)
There are a lot more options for tweaking your xsd when using regular xsd generation then there are for the Schema Composer.

If you want to define messages you can use the Schema Composer to create a subset for you and generate the XSD from the subset.
For an improved subset Schema Composer add-in see EA Message Composer (https://bellekens.com/ecdm-message-composer/)
