Title: Can I enforce unique class names
Post by: Simon MA on December 14, 2017, 08:56:42 pm
Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to enforce class names to be unique within a package etc?

Digging through the forum, I've found this discussed as far back as 2005: https://www.sparxsystems.com/forums/smf/index.php?topic=14614.0 (https://www.sparxsystems.com/forums/smf/index.php?topic=14614.0) and as recently as 2013 https://www.sparxsystems.com/forums/smf/index.php/topic,24956.msg199738.html#msg199738 (https://www.sparxsystems.com/forums/smf/index.php/topic,24956.msg199738.html#msg199738) and the answer appears to be no, but as several years have passed since the last one that I found, I thought I would ask in case things have changed...

Cheers

Not out of the box.

But it is fairly simple to write an EA-Matic (https://bellekens.com/ea-matic/) script or add-in to enforce something like that.
