hi,

I'd like to export data models to Erwin. Should I check some options in Export dialog in order to acomplish this?
My Erwin version is old (2002 - 4.1) and my EA version is 6.0. Is it possible?

General Board / code generation Java
« on: June 05, 2006, 04:47:08 am »
Hi,

I'm trying to generate class1 code from the structure bellow:

MyProject
---Implementation
------packet1
----------class1
---java.lang
------Exception

where Class1 inherits from Exception.

It works and the output shows "import  java.lang.Exception"

Another way, i'd like to put all of my external libraries under External packet and set java.lang as namespace root.

MyProject
---Implementation
------packet1
----------class1
---External
------java.lang
----------Exception

Unfornatelly, it doesn't generate the line "import  java.lang.Exception" ???.

Have I done something wrong?

Thanks.

Hi,

I'd like to save excluded itens in Generate RTF Documentation -> Document Options dialog for each one of my templates in Resource View -> RTF Documents. It seens that I always have to select again the excluded itens for each generation. Is it true?

Thanks.

Thanks... :)

I'd like to take a further step.... I have a gateway inside the inner diagram. What if I'd change the name of the invoked method... I'd like to replicate these changes in all referencing diagrams... Is it possible?

Hi,

here we go again  :)

I'm referencing a sequence diagrame inside another one. But, I'd like to push a line from the margin. Something like on this site (figure 15):

http://www-128.ibm.com/developerworks/rational/library/3101.html

Is it possible?

Hi,

I'm not sure, but I think using a master document can help me to get what I want. Now, I'm trying to understand about how to use bookmarks and GUID resources.

Thanks.

Hi Thomas...

I unsderstand your idea. But, this way, how can I generate Use Cases documentation and Use Cases Realization documentation in the same .doc!?

Hi,

I'm trying the function "Generate RTF Documentation" ...

My project tree seens something like this:

Package Iteraction 1
---- Package Use Case 1
-------- Use Case 1 (diagram)
-------- Use Case 1 - Realization (collaboration)
------------- Sequence Diagram 1
------------- Sequence Diagram 2
---- Package Use Case 2
-------- Use Case 2 (diagram)
-------- Use Case 2 - Realization (collaboration)
------------- Sequence Diagram 1
------------- Sequence Diagram 2

I'd like to create a template which could generate a per Use Case documentation, but I don't know how to print object under collaboration objects. Is it possible? What are the seguence diagrams here? Elements? Diagrams? Should I use another structure?

Thanks  :)

This package is from my own design. But, if it were from some package in Java Environment I would like to do the same.

I don't like verbose imports. Anyway, it's a good pratice use import *.

Hi,

I'm trying to define a dependency relation between a class and a package (package1) as import. I'd like to generate code of this class with:

import xxx.xxxx.xxxx.package1.*

But it haven't worked. Have I done something wrong?

Thanks.

Thanks   :)

On question 1 ... I'd like to show just abstract methods in specialised elements. Is it possible?

On question 2... is it possible automatically updates? Still, is it possible generate code with method stubs of inherited operations?
