Bugs and Issues / Re: Unable to move Interface on a Port, on a Class
« on: June 21, 2018, 09:53:09 pm »
You are right, My Bad, I was of the impression that the elements were moveable. Just tried again and it

Glad it helped. You can refer to https://leanpub.com/InsideEA from Thomas Kilian

Geerts suggestion is best to create useful queries, but Coincidentally i had something similar written for reporting purpose

Code: [Select]
select c.Name as Name, ce.Name as ClientName,  ce.Object_Type as ClientType, se.Name as SupplierName, se.Object_Type as SupplierType
from (( t_connector c
left join t_object ce on ce.Object_ID = c.End_Object_ID )
left join t_object se on se.Object_ID = c.Start_Object_ID )
where c.Name ='<Name>'

Right click on Port -> Advanced -> Port Size Customizable. This will allow Ports to be resized. You'll then be able to move the Exposed interfaces in the Port.

If this is what you are looking for

I've seen these anomalies to be restored when I apply a different workspace layout. and / or enable all menu sets .

AFAIK, there in'st a setting to disable this.

The only option i can think of (complicated) is
To have a custom shapscript with custom compartments (http://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/13.0/automation/compartments_2.html) Not sure if this is something you really intend to.

General Board / Re: HTML Export - Search for activities
« on: June 20, 2018, 08:12:39 pm »
Yes, this is a common scenario in a large HTML export (on top of the time taken to export).
Whilst there isn't a search functionality inbuilt, you have one of the two options
1. Use the publish to Joomla option and have a site to which you publish EA models
2. Write a web app to handle the generated HTML files to build  the search functionality

General Board / Re: WebEA with „Accept Windows Authentication”
« on: June 11, 2018, 05:44:50 pm »
Hi Peter
Authenticating a Windows user from a web portal isn't possible unless the Web Application supports LDAP (and have access to LDAP server). Reading a windows user isn't possible.

For a sample configuration of LDAP in Publishing portals, you can refer to https://prolaborate.com/resources/documentation/setup-active-directory

General Board / Re: Object Creation in WebEA

Just a note (FWIW) - PCS supports creating only a subset of elements / stereotypes , it is an expectation to use EA for most model creation. Web tool (Web EA / Prolaborate) are more for socializing to the wider team

Sorry not sure,  may be a good idea to consult with support@sparxsystems.com

I tried in 14.1420, and it seems to be enabled for me  (when editing a document template).

I think its under 'Edit' Ribbon, File -> Printer Setup  (or Page Layout)

General Board / Re: EAP-to-DBMS model transfer
« on: June 02, 2018, 12:15:18 am »
True, but it will be really good to have DBMS to DBMS, we are doing a number of workarounds for backing up large models (as migrating to EAP files mostly fails)

You are using the 'heading' for the Element.Name property, and I assume your heading has a new page delimiter.

I'd suggest to remove all formatting in your test2 template and regenerate. Then start applying the required formatting.
