Sparx Systems identified as 'Rising Star' in Asia-Pacific ICT industry
This year's Strategic 100 list published by MIS Financial Review, identified Sparx Systems as one of ten 'Rising Stars' who are influencing the way CIOs do business.
Creswick, Australia, October 28, 2009 – Sparx Systems, a leading vendor of modeling tools based on open standards, was identified among the Asia-Pacific region’s ten ICT 'Rising Stars' in the recent MIS Financial Review's Strategic 100.
“The MIS Strategic 100 is a guide to the most important global and local IT companies as selected by an expert panel of industry executives and analysts from across Australia, New Zealand and Asia”, explained Brian Corrigan, Editor MIS Australia. Among the companies listed are ten 'Rising Stars', who show signs of significantly influencing how technology is bought or deployed within the Asia-Pacific region and therefore affect the way CIOs do business.
Commenting on selection in the report, Sparx Systems Business Development Manager, Ken Harkin, said “We are pleased to be identified in this stellar group which follows our recognition earlier this year by the SD Times 100 Award and the Visual Studio Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Merit Award.” He noted that “as business competition intensifies today’s CIOs are addressing unique and complex challenges.”
Harkin suggested, “Sparx Systems' range of enterprise modeling, design and visualization tools are helping companies, governments, standards bodies and individuals around the world to understand, construct and manage their complex business and IT systems.”
Sparx Systems enjoys global deployment of its flagship modeling platform, Enterprise Architect, which has a licensed customer base exceeding 200,000 users worldwide. This is reflected by the strong uptake in both corporate and government organizations across many industry verticals and international standards development organizations.
