Title: Create report on selected packages only
Post by: michielper on July 25, 2016, 08:32:10 pm
Is there a way to create a report that only contains a number of explicitly selected (sub)packages or explicitly selected diagrams?

Yes I have seen the Document option to exclude packages from inclusion in reports but this works for all reports an I need an ad hoc selection. Furthermore, this option is very obscure; I have seen no way to make it clearly visible that a package is being excluded. Or is there?

Thanks for your help!

You could use Virtual Documents
see here: http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/12.1/report_generation/virtualdocuments.html
But it is not an ad hoc thing.

Peter, thanks for this link, this looks like what I need. However, it does not make it clear to me how to generate a document consisting of several packages. I can drag packages onto the Report Package diagram, which seems the obvious way to do it, but then, how do I then create the document(s)???

Information you find here:

In other words you need to generate your virtual document.
