Title: Dangerous reparsing of the classes from sources
Post by: f on March 19, 2019, 07:25:38 pm
Is there a good way to prevent to mess up all class diagrams in the situation when someone in the team accidentally removes all files and parse them again from sources? I don't find an undo step. Do I always have to backup my .eapx file before a team member starts to edit the model?

There are a couple of measures you can take:

- Use a "real" database with proper backup configuration instead of relying on .eapx files (=> MS Access format)
- Link your packages to version control (you can do "undo checkou" if someone if you do an oopsie)

PS. Undo in EA is only available for things that are not important, such as diagram layout. There is no undo for anything that really matters.
