Title: Error when connecting to a model with WebEA using HTTPS-port 805
Post by: djvdhoven on August 04, 2020, 11:12:33 pm
Dear fellow forum members,
When trying to connect to a model with WebEA using HTTPS-port 805, I donít get to the next page with the model, while the following error-message is added to the PCS logfile:

2020-08-03 13:27:57 [WARNING]: [::1] SOAP 1.1 fault: SOAP-ENV:Server [no subcode]
"SSL_ERROR_SSL
error:14094418:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:tlsv1 alert unknown ca"
Detail: SSL_accept() failed in soap_ssl_accept()

The same model connects just fine using HTTP-port 804. HTTPS-port 805 works just fine to connect to a cloudmodel from the EA-client. Floating license server works fine as well using HTTPS over port 7770. WebConfig works fine over HTTPS.
I use a purchased SSL-certificate (Sectigo, formerly Comodo).

If you know, please advise how to solve the problem.

Thanks and kind regards,
DirkJan van der Hoven

Hello DirkJan,

we have the same issue with our setup right now.
Have you figured out what the cause was?
We are stumbling in the dark ...

Best regards

Boris

Hello DirkJan,

we found the cause for this issue:
You have to enter the database connection string with the server in IP instead of FQDN.
If you use FQDN, the test shows it is ok, but it is not saved/usable.

Changing from FQDN to IP fixed the SSL issue  :o
