Hello qwerty,

You can find the dialog and the button in version 14.1 via:
Configure ribbon | Reference Data panel | Settings button | Database Datatypes... menu item | Datatype Map button

I do not know when the feature was implemented, but v13 might have this button.

HTH,

Hi all,

The behaviour which Rich said can be reproduced for Objects in Object diagrams and Sequence Lifelines in Sequence diagrams.

If I understand correctly, there is no way to do 'shallow copy' for these 'instance' elements.

Hello PeterHeintz,

The behaviour is the new feature which is added on build 1504.
If you double-click a hyperlink, a navigation icon etc. which can be navigated to another diagram, EA now opens the target diagram in the same diagram tab (i.e. replace with current diagram).

You can return the original diagram by pressing BackSpace key or <-(Left Arrow) icon on the diagram tab.

I do not know if there is an option to behave the same as older versions.

I guess about the issue Sunshine wrote:

- double-click an attribute  _image in a diagram or press F9 after selecting the attribute in a diagram (click a Class in a diagram, then click an attribute in the Class)
-> EA opens modal properties dialog - there is no '...' button at the Initial value cell

One of the solution is:
- select the Stereotyope class and press F9
-> EA opens the Feaures dockable window - there is '...' button in the list and you can open the editor

Hello,

If I understand correctly, ALT+Z shortcut is useful.
(For all objects in a diagram, Ctrl+A and then ALT+Z).

You can call this feature from the Ribbon, but I forget where it is.

Hello,

Just for your information. On the version 15, the name of the Note compartment is not shown any longer.

Bugs and Issues / Re: Legend for any connector type
« on: March 19, 2019, 11:29:31 am »
Hi all,

On my machine (buiild 1429), if I NEVER touch or change the 'Applies to' dropdown list and set other settings (e.g. colours, etc.), the target connector type will be treated as 'All'. Please do not click, select or change the Type

If you already 'touch' the 'Applies to' dropdown list, you need to delete the Legend and create a new Legend.

General Board / Re: Smart Placement Guides ... not working consistently?
« on: February 19, 2019, 11:45:21 am »
Hi all,

Now targets of the smart placement must be the 'same level' - i.e. if an element is direct on the diagram and another is child element (on other element), there is no blue line between them.

In similar case, in an Activity diagram if an object is on a Partition (Lane) and another object is on different Partition, there is no blue line between them.

Maybe this is why you can not see the line in some cases.

I can't agree more about support for the spacing and selecting mutliple objects.

General Board / Re: Showing Constraints
« on: January 09, 2019, 05:40:46 pm »
Hi all,

The following steps might be workaround:

1. add a Tagged Value which name is 'xUML' to the attribute
(i.e. open the Tagged Value window, then select the attribute and then add a new Tagged Value 'xUML')
2. set its value to what you want to display in the diagram (e.g. "{SomeCostraint}")

Bugs and Issues / Re: Auto coloring with diagram legends
« on: November 28, 2018, 01:56:44 pm »
Hello all,

I tried as Nivasio wrote, and it works fine i.e. 'Comprete' (stored value is '1,1') is shown as green and otherwise red.

If you check the 'Use numeric evaluation' checkbox, turn off(clear) the checkbox.

Hope this helps,

General Board / Re: Cannot move state machine diagram between packages
« on: November 22, 2018, 10:53:14 am »
Hi all,

The critical issue is that we can NEVER select  'Show Diagram Frame' menu item for UML (not SysML) Statemachine diagram under a Package (not under a Statemachine object) BUT EA says the error message.

There is no frame but EA says so, so we can not move UML Statemachine diagrams to other Package.

No problem (I think) for SysML diagrams and Statemachine diagrams under Statemachine object because we can show/hide a frame.

Hi Guillaume,

In the help, the behaviour is commented.

e.g.
https://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/14.0/model_domains/sysml_activity.html

Quote
Note that diagrams showing Diagram Frames applied under release 14.0 or higher of Enterprise Architect will draw the parent object on the diagram when opened in a release prior to release 14.0.

Hello MarcinG,

You have an option to apply new schema 'schema1220'.
https://www.sparxsystems.com/resources/repositories/index.html

The new schema might offer better performance.
