t_xref is the table that also holds stereotype information. Have you also tried to JUST use stereotypeEx?

ありがとう, Takeshi. Found it (also in 13.5). EA users once will die with a WHIMM (where is my menu)...

Paolo, it appears that those entries are stored in t_template. Time for a book update.

I'm terribly sorry, but neither my V14 nor V13 does not have that :-/

Either you write a dedicate search for that (there are a couple pre-defined ones). Or you stick to the audit feature (see the help).

Code: [Select]
methBP.Stereotype = "aaBIF metadata::Phase_Basic"
methBP.StereotypeEx = methBP.Stereotype
Makes EA cut the stereo to its base name which you then feed in to Ex. Would be the same as
Code: [Select]
methBP.Stereotype = "aaBIF metadata::Phase_Basic"
methBP.StereotypeEx = "Phase_Basic"

Just turn on the Audit feature (see the help).

No and no (except you digest the whole manual).

Just right out of my head: in EA's program code. If you tell me, where that button is to be found in which version I'll have a closer look.

Yes, that's it! EA is really great in just letting the user walk in the mist...

Thanks, Geert!

P.S. The best is: EA does not enforce to have a version number when exporting. And since we are at it: this export to xmi (where you always store the export in the wrong place) and then combine those exports via that dreaded MTS (which is absolutely not portable between different users) is sooo 20th century. Why not have a <<MDG>> element, hook that to the packages and diagrams and then just context create an MDG from that?

What I did was to export a profile with a single View Specification extending Class and Exposing something. The created xmi looks to be "something" but when starting that MTS it refuses to show that xmi.

I'm currently trying to get my hands on the View Specification introduced in V14. Besides the fact that I had to find the menu (hmm, WHIMM would be a nice one: WHere Is My Menu) and having read about saving profiles (respectively why once can't do so with a package) I have an issue with that MTS not showing exported profile xml files any longer. Any hint?

(If someone got a write up how to deal with View Specification that would be nice. The EA docs are as usual just a "click here click there" without relating the use case.)

Not on the database. But definitely on the GUI. Good luck then with finding your menus.

Actually it's quite simple to use native UML for doing that. However, when doing a large job I start with modeling requirements elements to fit the specific domain. Eventually I will adopt dialects (speaking from an UML view) like SysML to achieve that goal.

There's a recent post on why V15 opens only a single diagram and how to change that. Good luck with the forum search (IIRC KP answered).

And for developing that .NET is a pre-requisite. I'd been running Windoze without .NET until recently I was forced to get my hands on C#.
