Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Re: Slow execution of vbs
« on: March 13, 2006, 07:28:08 pm »

EA is activeX automation server, so when you use Repository object,
EA.exe will start in the background.
(And after script is finished, EA.exe will be shut down.)

So, it will take seconds to start script, it depends on your machine power.

You need more code like following after Elements.AddNew method:

Set activityDiagramObject = activityDiagram.DiagramObjects.AddNew ("")

activityDiagramObject.ElementID = activityElement .ElementID

(I don't test these code, so it may contain some error...)

I hope following HtmlHelpMaker is useful for you.

Hello Gary,

If your Mainmenu has no Add-ins menu item
after installing the Python add-in, please try

(MainMenu)->Tools->Customize->Menu Tab->Reset button

Hope this helps.

Hello Carlos,

Basically, there are two reasons to show the dialog:

1. Plug-in isn't installed correctly
2. You don't use Eclipse SDK, but use Eclipse runtime binary, etc.

Hope this helps.

Hello Guillaume,

I forward answer from RaQuest support team:

RaQuest can export to HTML, Word, CSV and Excel,
but RaQuest can import from only CSV at the moment.
The ability to import Word has not been implemented yet.

However, RaQuest can register phrases or sentences on
MS-Word documents as requirements with Word Add-In feature.
It is possible even by the evaluation version.

For details about the usage of Word Add-in,
please look at Word Add-in page of the help.

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Re: MDG Link for VS.NET
« on: November 18, 2004, 10:28:59 pm »
Hello Martyn,

I know a case that MDGLink can't communicate
with some version of VS.NET. MDGLink VSNET
requires VS.NET 2003, so I recommend to check version
and apply all patches for VS.NET 2003.

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Re: Requirments Management Tool
« on: November 03, 2004, 01:17:33 pm »
Hello all,

As I wrote to 'General Board', we released Requirement management tool for EA, 'RaQuest'.

I also think EA can handle and manage requirements.
One of the proof is that 'RaQuest' is made by EA Automation Interface.

But I think it's better if there is any tool to manage them effectively and track changes.
Our 'RaQuest' provides more 'Views' to manage them and means to track each requirement.

Please check and try from:

I think many of barny451's requests are resolved with RaQuest. RaQuest is 'baby' software,
so please tell me your impression to be good software.
