Bugs and Issues / WebEA Worker not Working?
« on: August 04, 2018, 01:47:19 am »
When trying to use the „Worker“ I get the following error message:
The procedure entry point _cleanUpGrammarEditor@0 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:…..ßEA.exe.
Any ideas?

Ok, by enabling both php modules as well, I got it work.

It would be nice if the manual would state what php extensions are needed. ;D

Ok, by looking in my manual php installation, I found the php mbstring extension was not enabled by default.
By doing so I get a WebEA screen showing that the curl and gettext modules are missed as well.

I have a Win Server 2016 intended to run the Pro Cloud Server Express.

All seem to work find, but WebEA I do not get to work.

I could not exactly follow, what is written here:

Because I cannot leave our Intranet on this sever, so I did a manual php installation (x86 not x64).

When copying a phpinfo.php (<?php phpinfo();?>) in the WebEA web-folder it shows that php is working. However when calling login.php I always get "http 500 The website cannot display the page"

Any ideas? Do I need php x64?

Bugs and Issues / Re: Diagram Running Slow
« on: August 02, 2018, 08:01:15 pm »
Hi EmyrI,
as posted before, your root cause is the amount of elements on your diagram.

Without knowing your stuff, I cannot say, that you are wrong with you statement that you cannot split it down.

I have modelled quiet complex thing for years and if my context would be the whole thing, my diagrams would not be wall paper size but several square kilometre size.
Up to now, I was always able to split the “whole thing context” in several sub-context/aspects/perspectives/views/….

In fact modelling is essentially a lot about splitting a big thing in smaller part.

By doing so, you do not see the whole thing on one diagram in all details any more, but you can never look at a complex whole thing once and see the details.
Slitting things down might need some experience and experiments, but you should try to do so.

I did never try this, so I can not give you hints about that.
However what works, is creating you own diagram profile as shown here:
Mayby this is an option for you.

In general I would say if you user base is >= 5 you should use a client/server environment. However file-size might be an issue as well.

Bugs and Issues / Re: SysML Activity Diagram Control Flow
« on: July 10, 2018, 10:56:10 pm »
this is what I do since years.

-I select the package in the project browser, I want to contain the activity
-I add within the project browser an Activity ("Add Element...")
-I select the added Activity in the project browser
-I choose "Add/Composite Structure Diagram"
-I fill the Composite Structure Diagram with Actions, Objects, Pins, ....

+1; Yes, I have some use cases for that as well.

ARIS and IMB blueworks focuses on business process modelling. In addition those tools provide feature for publishing those processes and feature to collaborate in those processes.

EA focuses on modelling, but not only on business processes.

I use for processes a tool similar to Aris or IBM blueworks. However the rough modelling of the processes I did in EA, and this model was/is the basis to fill information in the “process tool”.

If you just want to model how things work, EA might be a good choice, but if you want e.g. to provide web bases process publish and collaboration, those tools might be better.

Maybe the behaviour is even different in different V13.5 build.
I assume it is somehow a kind of bug.

In V13 it is not shown.

To get rid of it in 13.5 you have to set "Allow Duplicates" to true in your SOURCE Role.
However if you do not want to allow duplicates, you probably have to stay with it.

Yon need to write an SQL query where you need to connect the tables t_object and t_connector.
