Specifiy Taged Value  in RTF  or CSV
« on: August 03, 2007, 05:43:02 am »
Hi,
I've just started to use EA as a requirement management tool and have been using tags to specify values such as Stakeholders and business benefits. My questions are:

1) Can I export tags using the CSV export facility? I've tried and failed.

2) How do I specify tags in the RTF output? I've multiple types of tags per requirements and I'd like to specify each type of tag in a seperate column in table.

Many Thanks

1) There is no possibility to import tagged values via CSV import.
EA help "CSV Specifications":
CSV only imports and exports objects and their properties; items such as class attributes cannot be imported or exported through this mechanism. XMI provides a solution to this limitation, as does use of the Automation Interface.

2) Right click in the RTF template editor and select "value of". Then fill the name of your tagged value in the "Enter the name of the tagged value" dialog.
I've noticed some problems when using tagged values with special characters (Eastern Europe) in the tagged value name.
