BPMN2 - any plan to implement it?
« on: November 11, 2007, 08:21:26 am »
My company is going to start a project with BPMN2 stated as a notation pre-requisite for BPR process.
We are currently using EA7 for system design and i prefer to avoid investing in other tools. Any plan for BPMN2?

We're still waiting on a final BPMN 2 from OMG. Sparx tends to wait until these things are finalized before they build them in.

Of course your (our) mileage may vary here, and they might address this sooner. Who knows?
No, you can't have it!

Hmmm, interesting to hear that your company is adopting a standard that hasn't been formalized yet. I am having trouble to get my company to accept the BPMN period, let alone version 2 of it. Anyways, I kind of agree - EA and Sparx should not implement a standard that hasn't been finalized since we all know that requiremetns change ( ;)) constantly.
