Modeling Use Case Trigger and Issue
« on: January 15, 2013, 01:47:13 am »
Hi,

This must be simple but....

I have Trigger and issues related to Use Cases. How do I properly model it in EA?

I Added Issue Element from Common tools in Use Case Diagram and created relationship but I cannot publish them in the RTF documentation. How do I do it?

What about trigger? is there a trigger element

regards,
rnv

A UC does not have a trigger. It has pre-conditions.

No idea about the RTF...

A use case has a trigger AND pre-conditions.
The pre-condition is what has to be true to enable entry into the use case. The trigger is what actually causes the use case to run.

To answer the question. Either make step 1 the trigger or create a tagged value called trigger.

You can create your own Document Template, then edit it and activate using of the Package/Element/Connector. An Issue is an Element too, it will be publisched as any other Package's Element.
