Build Project Glossary from Ontology Model
« on: March 02, 2016, 10:01:41 pm »
Hi

Is there any way to build a project glossary from the Ontology models. I have imported the FIBO model from EDM and would like to build the glossary with the words and descriptions

Appreciate the help

I think you need to write some kind of script to do that.

If you are thinking of building a script take a look at my Excel importer.
That one already contains the code to import the glossary.

Hi Howard, could I possibly get a dump of your FIBO import?  I gave up trying to get it imported cleanly and just created myself a strawman top-level ontology.

Me too, Me too! Please!  8) 8)

I actually wrote a mechanism to populate the Sparx glossary from my internal OTM, but there are problems due to the internal design of the glossary.  See: Plural terms for Glossary

I used MS Access to do the transformation.

It would be interesting to define the requirements of the Glossary so that Sparx could determine how they might improve it to be REALLY useful.
