Traceability of Instances
« on: February 20, 2018, 11:50:25 pm »
Hello,

Iīm trying  to use Enterprise Architect to draw block diagramms of electronic circuits.
In order to not draw objects again and again I created a library of the uses parts. For example letīs say a controller.
In the block diagramm I then create an instance of that controller.

My problem is, that I donīt see a way to find the original object from the instance, when I donīt know where it is in my project tree.
The same goes the other way around. I canīt find a way to see all instances of an object, when Iīm looking at the library. This would be usefull if I would like to know where the controller is used.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just not possible in EA?

Many thanks in advance,
Ronald

Ronald,

Check the options in the traceability view. One of them allows instance/classifier navigation.
