ArchiMate3 - Child diagram not removable
« on: June 17, 2019, 06:11:54 pm »
When I want to remove the child diagram from an ArchiMate3 element (the glasses in the lower right corner on a diagram) then I use the context menu: New Child Diagram > Select Composite Diagram > "<none>". The glasses disappear, but when I refresh the diagram after saving then the glasses are back.

That looks like a bug.

The workaround in the old days was to create a new diagram, set it as composite, and then delete that diagram.

Workaround :

Did you try clicking New Child Diagram -> Composite as shown below to remove the composite ?

If an element is set to have a composite diagram, it automatically picks up the first diagram in its own parent Package (if there isn't one, it creates a new one there). As Arshad says, toggle the 'Composite' option off.
