What is common between Partition and Alias at Actions?
« on: February 25, 2021, 05:31:56 pm »
Using EA 15.2. First, I was wondering why there is no Alias field shown in the docked Properties window of an Action, but a field named Partition at the same slot. Than I opened the Properties/Properties dialog, where I found the Alias field. Entered something in there.

The same value appeared at the Partition field in the still docked and open Properties window.

Is this just a bug in EA or is some meaning behind it?

Partition and Alias share the same db field. It's been that way longer than I've worked at Sparx Systems. There used to be an option for it, but I can't find it this morning.

Thanks Eve - so I can read Partition as to be Alias

(However in times where about every microcontroller has a memory managing unit, Partion should be an attribute to components, classes and every other element standing for executable code. Surely, its a static property. I cannot think of, what it means to attribute an action.)
