  • right-click on an interface
  • Advanced

Probably you want to do a batch: write a short script to do it.

As alternatives to the above correct recommendation, I would see 2 other ways :
- use Geert's EA Matic + custom script to automatically update your interface notation when an interface is created or added to a diagram
- or use stereotyped interfaces via a custom MDG if the circle notation can be made default (I haven't checked if this is possible)

hmm - thank you qwerty, Guillaume - thought it could have been easier.
As my computer is a customer laptop, I shall not install anything without explicit permission. I prefer to forget the option to fight for EA Matic. Maybe next time, I do it together with convincing for EA.

What I understood so far:
  • I cannot define an additional short-cut for that menu entry, where Sparx has none provided, yet
  • A script that I would have to be started manually could do the trick, however it would not help, as clicking through the menus to start a script is even less productive
  • If I would have the knowledge, I could bind a script to some pre-defined event that would do the circle notation e.g. at time when I drop the interface to the diagram (I need circle notation only in component diagrams, full presents in class diagrams)

If I got the above correctly, I think I have to shift that idea to the future.

A script is useful only for batch applications (mass/multi changes). An add-in is sometimes restricted by company policies (sick but true). So you are on square one doing it manually...

The new model add-in's might be useful in this case.
You don't need admin rights to use that.

Maybe you could even use the template package to make new interfaces appear as a lollipop. Worth a try.
