Hello Community,

I need help exporting an Enterprise Architect model to JSON.
If I create a JSON with the help of the Schema Composer, only the data "Name", "Type" and "Initial Value" / "default" are transferred to the JSON. How can I also take over the "Alias" data in JSON?

EA-Modell Data:
Name: Weight
Type: String
Alias: 0173-1#AAB713#006
Initial Value: 250g

but the Schema Composer only outputs the following data:

   "Weight":
            {
               "type" : "string",
               "default" : "250g",
               "minItems": 1,
               "maxItems": 1
            }

I look forward to your support.

Best regards
Florian

Unfortunately the JSON export from the schema composer is completely blackbox, and way to simple for any real-world scenario.

That's the reason I build my own JSON add-in https://bellekens.com/ea-json/

Hello Geert,

thank you very much for your quick reply.
I have downloaded and installed your add-in.

Now when I try to create a JSON from an existing class it does not work.

Via the path: Right click, Specialize, EA JSON I get to "Generate JSON Schema" but I can't select "Generate JSON Schema" because it is grayed out.

Can you help me here?

Best regards
Florian
