I'm running v15.2 + v16 64 bit on the same machine.

I did rename the v15.2 folder, but I suspect that wasn't really needed since the 64 bit installs in Program Files, and not in Program Files (x86)

Geert,
Have you tried BOTH 64 & 32 bit on the same machine?  We have an investment in .eapx files which we can't discard immediately.  I'd like to run the 32bit to access the .eapx files and  64 bit to try out the new SQLLite versions while we attempt to convert.

Not v16 32bit + v16 64 bit no.

I suspect it will work, but without actual proof.

Thanks, we'll see if Sparx can advise.

In the time you've waited for a reply you could have had both installed. Yes, they will install side by side.

I'd like to run the 32bit to access the .eapx files and  64 bit to try out the new SQLLite versions while we attempt to convert.
The 32 bit edition will do both of these.

Hi

Having EA 15.2, EA 16 32bit and EA 16 64 bit all running on the same machine. More testing is needed, though.

The 32-bit edition will do both of these.
(my emphasis)

That presumes I had both the available machine and time to do it.  All the machines I had are currently running an overnight job automatically updating nearly 10,000 diagrams!  Also, I'm on a high priority task so I don't have the time to install (and potentially uninstall).

I am aware that the 32-bit version 16 does both, but I want to test the 64-bit version (the final target) with SQLLite.  The 32-bit will principally be used for "Compare and Contrast".EAPX with QEAX and 32-bit ->64-bit behaviour.

See, there is a "method in the madness"...
