Analysis Toolbox

Analysis-type elements are used early in modeling to capture business processes, activities, collaborations and general domain information. They are generally used in Analysis diagrams.

A Process is a stereotyped Activity, used to model business processes. A Boundary is a stereotyped Object that models some system boundary, typically a user interface screen. A Control is a stereotyped Object that models a controlling entity or manager. An Entity is a stereotyped Object that models a store or persistence mechanism that captures the information or knowledge in a system. You can also use a number of stereotyped elements from the 'Business Modeling' pages of the Toolbox, to capture UML business process modeling extensions such as worker, case worker, entity and controller. Notes

To add an element to the currently-open diagram, click on the appropriate icon and drag it into position on the diagram; set an element name and other properties as prompted
To add a relationship, click on the appropriate icon, then click on the start element in the diagram and drag to the end element
